As some may have heard, I am leaving for USMC Boot Camp on April 13th (4-13-2015). Im looking to have one last geocaching HOORAH before the official HOORAH!!! Obviously this event will not be easy access which is why we are having a few weeks to plan. Should be easily accessed by Canoe, Kayak, Jet Ski, or Small Motor Boat. All im looking for here is to get a bunch of die hard cachers together to enjoy a nice day on a random island just South of the St. Mary's River.
This is a picnic so bring your own food and drink but I will supply the prizes for a small raffle to be held on site, a prize for the first to COMMIT to attend the event (person must attend), as well as a prize for the first person to arrive on site.
Event will start roughly at 12:00 pm and last until 1:30 so make sure you give yourselves time to park and make the "trek" out to the Event location. Im just wanting to stay out for an hour or so, long enough for everyone to share some cachin' stories and enjoy a fine day!
Weather will also be a contributing factor for this event. I will keep a look out on the weather forecast prior to the event so that we can have an avid prediction as to what were in for. If the weather is predicted to be rough then we may cancel the event unless committed attendees are dead set on going!!!
