Cairngorm: The area has been desolated by arson. The cache is gone like everything else. There's no place on or around the Resting Rock where I could replace it today, or for a long time to come. This cache and I have known each other for twelve years, since it was one year old and I was . . . never mind. I'm sorry to see it go. But not fair to BBT hikers to keep it listed.

Geocache Description:

The terrain rating is mostly for the hike to get here.

This large flat rock has been a regular rest stop for me on this trail since 1992. It's a great place to put down your pack, sit, rehydrate and admire the view of Santa Monica Bay.

Beware of red ants in warm weather. They bite -AND- sting.
