It's a decon container. The terrain rating is mostly for the hike to get here.

This large flat rock has been a regular rest stop for me on this trail since 1992. It's a great place to put down your pack, sit, rehydrate and admire the view of Santa Monica Bay.

Beware of red ants in warm weather. They bite -AND- sting.

October 4 by Cairngorm (281 found) TSP: Resting Rock was transferred from OLdweeb to user Cairngorm. I checked on the cache this weekend. It's still in place and doing fine.. Please don't take the container - the cache is staying active. Find, log and enjoy! [view this log]

August 30 by Cairngorm (281 found) I'm down at Trippett Ranch making preparations for National Orienteering Day (every September the LA club puts on a come-and-try-it event here - join us Sunday 9/20/09!). And I took the chance to grab this one, in case the Governor closes the Park next week and the chance doesn't come again for a couple of years. A classic type of cache, but with a couple of twists that I enjoyed, thanks. I found a freshly lost shiny thing on the rock, and if it's yours email me its description. [view this log]
