This cache is located near the top of Goat Peak. There are many routes up to the American ridge, but the shortest (also steepest) is accessed at Hells Crossing on Highway 410. trail is about 3 miles, all uphill, but leads to great views of Rainier, the Goat rocks, Stewart Range, and many other ridges and mountains. This route is not for the faint at heart. A longer but gentler approach, though still difficult would be up the other side accessed at cougar flats campground on bumping river road.
The cache is a smallish 3x5 notecard case. It isn't directly on the peak, but there is a summit register there. BRING WATER!!!! This hike will kick your butt.
