In the early nineteen hundreds this place was the site of an industrial mining development. At its peak, there were probably up to 2000 people living in this town. Miners worked hard extracting Torbanite (more commonly known as ---------) from the surrounding hills. The refined product was then transported out of the valley via the nearby glowworm tunnel.
When visiting this cache take the time to explore the surrounding area and all its history. Very little of the town still remains, but what’s left makes for interesting viewing. Make a weekend of it and camp at the nearby camping ground.
The cache is a small 1ltr container containing all the usual stuff, including a logbook. Please keep your swaps small and be sure to use stealth mode.
