Here is a new interesting challenge cache that all of you have been waiting for!!!
The cache is NOT at the posted cords and there are logging requirements that must be met before you can go get this one. Then just look for the final waypoint in the waypoint box.
At first I wanted to do a Challenge of the Century for this, but then I quickly realized that only being able to find caches on one day every four years would be a bit difficult, so decided to do something a bit more obtainable, while still being a challenge!
Your goal for this cache challenge is to have found ten (10) caches on February 29th (intercalary day, leap day, bissextile day).
There are some limitations however; only traditionals, multis, and puzzle caches count towards your 10.
2/26/12 Someone asked me if letterbox hybrids will count towards this challenge, and YES those count too!
Previous finds DO count towards your 10 caches. The challenge cache itself does not count as part of the 10.
To know where you stand, go to your profile and click on statistics. Go down to where is shows how many finds you have per day of the year. Look for February 29th and see the number in that box. If you have found 10 (make sure they are traditionals, multis, or puzzle caches) then you can go log this cache.
LOGGING REQUIREMENTS: You must have a minimum of 10 cache finds on February 29th to be able to log this cache. I will verify by checking your profile. If you do not meet the requirements, your log will be deleted. You will need to go out and cache to meet the logging requirements.
I am also posting this fairly early, so everyone will have plenty of time to make arrangements to make finds to qualify for this cache. I looked at a lot of the locals profiles, and no one I saw had 10, the closest was 6, so I don't expect anyone logging this as a find until February 29th 2012 rolls around. Plus this will help you obtain the dreaded cache-a-day challenge.
