Geocache Description:

Langford Lowfields Nature Reserve

Welcome to Langford Lowfields Nature Reserve, work is currently going on to restore a sand and gravel quarry on the River Trent into the biggest reedbed in the East Midlands.
At present there is a public footpath that follows the entire perimeter of the site, giving great views of the changing landscape.

This cache is placed on the Eastern footpath, there is no need to access the nature reserve at any time, the reserve is not currently open to the public but is due to be so in 2017 when all the quarry workings are complete.
For now, the best place for overlooking the reserve is a viewpoint about half way along the eastern footpath which gives excellent views over part of the reedbeds.

Wheelchair users can get along the footpath but might need help getting to the cache.

Cache is a camouflaged screw lid pot.

Looking out over the reserve from the hide.

Orange Tip butterfly, spotted several of these among other species alongside the nature reserve.

Congratulations to 'The Inbetweeners' for being first to find.
