Geocache Description:

On top of a hill near the I5 freeway. Great views in all directions. Too steep for little kids.

Every time I drive by this spot, I think there should be a cache here. Now there is! As I was placing this cache, I noticed many white seashells, so I named the hill Seashell Hill.

The best parking is the San Elijo Lagoon parking lot on Manchester at appx. 33° 00.747 117°16.361. Walk south to the cement drain and up from there. The trails are windy with lots of zig-zags. The trail starts going north, winds around and you eventually approach the cache from the south side. No need to cross any barbed wire fences or heavy bushwacking.

Cache container is a decon container. Please bring tiny swag only! Log book folds in half to fit inside container.

Good luck and happy trails. This would be a good one to bring your camera along for the great views.

EDIT 7/7/2005: West Nile Virus Mosquitoes have been found in the San Elijo Lagoon near here. Be careful at times when they are active. "Every mosquito in a five-mile radius found us."
