This cache was placed with help from the Shelby Township Parks & Rec Department in one of their best parks. On the way to place the cache, I saw several deer, geese, and bluejays. I also saw the tracks of several other animals. This is a very popular fishing spot, so beware of muggle fishermen.
The easy way in starts at the River Bends Fishing Area and Day Camp. During the winter months, the gate to the park is locked, but I was told by the parks and rec department that it is ok to park in the driveway in front of the gate. One could also take the long way in and go through the nature center. If you do that though, the terrain difficulty goes up quite a bit.
During the summer months, a small amount of bush whacking may be required.
