Geocache Description:

Located in People's State Forest. Some of the possible approaches are steep and rough.

The cache is hidden a short distance from a panoramic view (N 41° 56.837 / W 073° 00.541) of the Farmington River as it meanders south through state forest from Riverton to New Hartford. The "100 Steps" refers to a fairly steep and rocky trail that approaches this view point from the west, not a geocaching rehab program. The trail has been built up with rock stairs for much of its length, but it is still a strenuous climb from East River Road.

The cache is a clear plastic container stocked with the usual trinkets, many kid related. WINTER INFO: Due to poor GPS reception in the area and the large number of potential hiding spots, this cache will be more difficult to find in the snow, but not impossible. The cache location IS somewhat protected from the elements.
