This cache is in the Brandywine Creek State Park and is a 15 minute
walk on the Blue Trail from the trailhead on Garden of Eden Road.
This is the upper valley trail on the east side of the Park and
makes a nice loop hike by continuing from the cache and then taking
a right turn to go down to the river. The walk upstream along the
river is a full size gravel path and the return is up through the
pine grove before the bridge over Rocky Run Creek.
There is a great view of the valley below from this spot and you
probably passed through one of the nicest mountain laurel groves in
the park getting to the site. You can also see the remains of an
old stone wall that marked the original boundary of the original
dairy farm.
The cache is named for our first dog that loved to walk through
the woods with us. This was one of our favorite areas.
The park is available from 8 am to dusk. Mountain bikes are not
allows on the upper valley trail but are allowed on the main trail
down to, and along, the river.
