This is a 3-part cache. The coordinates above are for a sign in the
recommended parking area. Total round trip required is a little
less than 3 miles assuming you don’t make any wrong turns. Parking
close to the sign may be a challenge on the weekends. On the sign,
you’ll find the park rules and regulations posted. One of the rules
is that the speed limit is “xy” miles per hour. Replace the X&Y
in the below coordinates to find the second waypoint.
N38°4x.4xx W9y°x9.451
Most of the walk to the second waypoint is on a paved trail. The
second wpt is written on one side of a special rock. The walk from
waypoint 2 to the final is off the paved trail and is generally a
swampy area with an eerie feel to it….
Please Note:
1.If it has rained in the last couple days, you will get
muddy
2.If you don’t wear repellant, gnats, ticks and skeeters will
eat you.
3.It is likely you will come across a snake. Leave them alone;
you’re a visitor in their house.
4.You will probably have to cross patches of poison ivy. If
you’re allergic like me, wear long pants.
5.If you don’t see any deer, you’re not paying attention. I’ve
seen at least two each visit, and have counted as many as twelve in
a single visit. One of these days someone is going to find a fallen
rack of antlers. Late evening is the best time to see the deer.
6.Lots of mushrooms, lichen, ducks, geese. Egrets and herons for
the picture takers.
Final Cache is a 1-gallon jug full of goodies. Park closes ½
hour after sunset, Dogs permitted on a 6-foot leash, final cache is
not wheelchair or stroller accessible.
NOTICE: Please be respectful of the posted park
hours. If you enter the park after hours you are trespassing.
If you are stopped you can be ticketed or arrested and will
put the future of geocaching in the parks in
jeopardy. |
