Strathcona Wilderness 1 Traditional Geocache

This is the first geocache placed in Alberta (2nd in Canada) and has an interesting history. Read the first 4 log entries for more information.

Notes:

• No dogs allowed in the wilderness area
• This is a summer cache only unless you don´t mind skiing to find it. No walking is permitted during snow season.

For more information about the Strathcona Wilderness area including hours of operation (the gate gets locked at 4:30 most days), see here. From the lodge, it is a 15-20 minute walk to the cache area.

Please do not bushwack to this cache. You can take wildlife trails right to the location.
