Geocache Description:

The cache is larger than a 35 mm container but smaller than a small cache and is hidden up a hill near the base of a tree. This cache is not spectacular in any way and should only be found if you happen to be passing by.

This cache was not hidden to mark a most beautiful spot, great hike, or excellent adventure. For quite different reasons than most folks choose to hide a cache, this one was hidden to commemorate a horrible, rushed, sort of tense, and disappointing milestone hike for Trurokr and Narlsharls' 1500th find together. We were supposed to find a certain nearby puzzle cache to mark their worthy accomplishment but we could not find it. You just would have had to be there to understand that it was not a fun hike. We had all waited for weeks for everyone to solve the puzzle, waited for an available day and good cool weather. But it was not our fate to find the elusive cache - things just weren't working in our favor. As a consolation, MamaFish rushed ahead and hid this small, ugly, disappointing little cache so that they could still claim their #1500 together. It was hidden to remind us all that life is full of disappointment and "no finds" and you need to experience the bad days/hikes to fully appreciate the good ones. And, sometimes you have to settle for less than you expected. Even bad ones are still adventures. Congratulations on ALL of your adventures, the good ones AND the bad ones - they are all meaningful in the journey of life.
