BigFoot's Lookout is located near Augusta, Montana...not really a cache area for small vehicles (cars), but not really a bad gravel road...use common sense when the weather is rainy or snowy...we drove our mini-van to place the cache.
Drive south out of Augusta, Montana...on highway 434/435. (This road is the road STRAIGHT THROUGH Augusta if you are coming from Great Falls...just keep going straight(check your mileage at the edge of town)...if you are coming to Augusta from the Helena direction, turn LEFT as you come into Augusta, check your mileage at the edge of town.) Drive about 6 miles out of Augusta to the ELK CREEK ROAD. This road heads WEST off of highway 434/435. Once on Elk Creek Road, drive approx. 7 miles. YOU WILL SEE THE FOREST SERVICE Sign, on your right, just across a steel cattle guard road "crossing". PARK RIGHT NEAR THE FOREST SERVICE SIGN! Walk from here and enjoy the views!
