Geocache Description:

This cache is meant to provide some additional fun while visiting the Baraga School Museum in Pelkie Michigan

Ask some kids if they would like to go to school in a bus pulled by a horse.  It gets better; the bus has a little coal stove in the center with a stove pipe chimney extending out of the roof.  This is not a scene in a Dr Seuss book, rather this is the bus that carried childrent to school a hundred years ago in Pelkie, Michigan. You can see the school and, according to the school's website, sit in the desks used by the children, ring the school bell and view the
antique maps (http://www.baragacountyhistoricalmuseum.com/schoolhouse.html). The school is open to visitors every Sunday and on holidays from
11:00am to 4:00pm starting Memorial Day weekend through the end of September. This is the only one-room school remaining in Baraga County. Don't forget to look at the Dr Seuss bus located in the school yard.  The kids will love it!

The cache is in a small green lock and lock box with new unregistered TB dog tags for the FTF. In addition it contains several Lake Superior agates, coral fossils found in the Otter River near by and other small trade items. The cache is in the school yard but not
associated with the bus. (Kids, do NOT climb on the bus.) Parking is available at the site.
