A easy find and I believe the first cache in carthage!

This Virtual cache is in a nice peaceful town. I spent alot of time in carthage growing up since my grandparents live in the town. The site is one of my most favorite places to see. When I was younger I would go here just about everyday and take tours sometimes several. I remember even helping out on tours answering questions.

Ok on to the details of how to claim this cache. I have decided on 2 ways to claim this. You can do both or one.

The first way is to take a picture of yourself holding your gps next to the monument where the waypoint takes you. This one will be hard to do after 5pm as they close by then.

The second way to claim this cache is to email me with the number of pointed objects on the building and how many points each have. This one should be able to be done after they are closed you will just have to walk around. From memory I think I verified this without going past the fence.

DO NOT post the answer here or I will be forced to delete your log but rather email me with the answer.

I hope you enjoy this site as much as I have enjoyed it. Take a tour while you are there it is worth it I think.

We had a wonderful day of caching from Galesburg, IL to Wayland, MO, back through Carthage and then back north to home. Stopped here as a companion cache to the ones we found in Nauvoo. What histories these places have. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC.

This was one of the most impressive places we visited on our tour. To stand in this place is just amazing. To sit in the upper room and see the bullet holes and look down from the wondow was a great experience was inspiring. thanks.
