This is an easy cache and just a few feet off the road. If you walk too far into the front yard of the house you clearly missed it - and Crazy Denny might come out and get you...
If Crazy Denny does not get you for wandering too far, his trained attack Badger which lives in the big mound in the front yard might get you, also watch out for the attack Gophers who may hotwire your car if you also wander too far into the yard! The cache is on private property and the property owner (my father - Dennis Kremnitzer) has granted permission.
When you are looking at the cache, if you turn around 180°, directly across the road is property owned by a Nature Conservancy and behind it is Quincy Bluff. At the South end of Quincy Bluff is a big rock outcropping. It looks like a major climb but is not too bad if you find the right trail up the side and go slow - the view is worth the hike!
So if you have time and are physically up for a hike, go three blocks South on 16th and hike the trail (16th and Embers) to the South end of the bluff. Parking on the road is OK there is a gate there where , and sorry but look out for ticks when in season. Supposedly there are bears living in the caves at the base of the bluff… at night if you shine a powerful light from the road you see the reflection of dozens of eyes. Daylight you may see deer, wild turkeys and cranes and occasionally the Badgers who like to eat gophers….
