Geocache Description:

Have you ever wondered if you can cook more than stew in a dutch over? Are you Cast Iron Intimitated? Well, here is your chance to see and try some great dishes from some of the best local Cast Iron Chefs. If you were at the Dutch Oven Diner Event, you know what we are up to.

This year, Chili_Tepin has reserved the Olympic Park in Lehi, UT to hold the event. This will be another combined event with UTAG (hosted by the Hobo trio)... and the Trikke SLC Posse of the IDOS (International Dutch Oven Socity.

The Olympic Park in Utah is 15 acres of beautiful green grass and is located right next to the Jordan River Parkway and Jordan River. There is one pavilion with 20 tables and a nearby fire pit. There is a playground for all the kiddies and restrooms.

The pavilion is reserved from 4:00pm to 10:00pm. Feel free to show up earlier, but I can't guarantee a cooking spot at the pavilion until after 4:00. I will get there early. The dinner bell will ring at 7:00pm.

This event is a chance to check out what you can do in your cast iron. We will be offering samples of several dishes. This is a good chance to visit with friends, and find out how to be friends with your cast iron as well.

For those who would like to try your hand at you cast iron skills, please let me know what you would like to cook. I will up-date the page to reflect the menu from our side of the event.

If you are not cooking, please bring an item that will feed at least 5. Food items needed include Salads, Veggie plates, Chips, Drinks, and Deserts. As you sign up for the event, please post what you intend to bring, and the page will be up-dated. This will help others see what is needed.

Please keep checking this page for up-dates on the menu. Little Folk food will be provided as well as the sampling of the offered fare. If you are intrested in adding to the menu, please contact Lyonden_ut.

So come out and sample the cooking, enjoy the friendship, and see what tips you can pick up.
