Geocache Description:

The fifth in a series of caches located on or close to the Sandstone Trail.

The Sandstone Trail is a long distance trail running 32 miles from Frodsham to Whitchurch. This cache is located a short distance from Rawhead the highest point in West Cheshire at 227 metres. It is worth continuing your walk to Rawhead after finding the cache for some great views.

The best place to park is by the telephone kiosk at N53 04.730 W002 43.628. This is on a minor road on the Bickerton side of the A534. There is nowhere convenient to park on the Rawhead side of the A534. For food and drink there are two pubs located nearby along the A534, the Coppermines Inn and the Bickerton Poacher.

The co-ordinates are an average taken over a couple of visits. Please note there is no need to cross any fences to reach the cache. The cache is a tupperware container in a camouflage bag. Please make sure that the cache is properly concealed when you replace it.
