You will need a watercraft of some sort, or be a GREAT swimmer, to get to this cache. No gas powered motors are allowed on this lake. The only legal way you can get to this on land is by permission of the property owners, which is very unlikely. If you try to get to this cache on land you will be crossing private land and will still have to get into the water to get to it. Parking coordinates are n47 19.426 w122 17.093. You will need your own writing tool.
We got ourselves a little boat and of course my first questions was "how can I use this in Geocaching?'. That is how I came up with this one. Cache is located on the shore of Lake Dolloff in Federal Way. This one is the first of a series of caches that you will need to be floating to get to. Boat, fishing tube, canoe, raft, air mattress, scuba gear, and if you are real good at it.... swimming. I really want to express to just use safety when you do it. I used the little rating application to decide on my D/T and this is what it came up with. I feel the difficulty of the find is high except considering that you need to float, but thats what it came up with so I will stick with it. Please give me detailed information on what you think about this cache I am curious what people think. I would also like to know what kind of floatation device you used to get to it, I think we may get a laugh out of what some people use. Take advantage of the fishing here, I hear that the fish you get from a boat here can be pretty good size. If you catch one I would love pictures posted.
