How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the above location. To find it, you first need to collect the details from three travel bugs.

The coordinates & map on this page are meaningless & random, please ignore them.

3 travel bugs have been released to wander aimlessly between the caches of England, Scotland & Wales. Attached to each of these bugs is a card. Written apon each of these, are a set of answers (eg A=4, B=0 etc), which can be used to complete a final set of coords & to find a secretly hidden cache.

To complete this challenge you must intercept all 3 bugs as they journey from location to location & make a note of the answers they possess. Once you have been in possession of all 3 then you will be able to work out the puzzle at the bottom of this page to reveal your final destination.

As this cache runs nation wide, absolutly any cacher in England, Scotland or Wales could become involved at any time, therefore I would suggest that if you have any interest in attempting the cache, you add this page to your favourites or add the three travel bugs to your watch list. This way you will not need to search for it if you take possession of the answers and wish to proceed to the final location, and the bugs movements will be sent to you automatically.

You may use the following links to check the current location of any one of the 3 'interception' bugs at any time, simply click below for further details:-

Interception Bug 3

Rules:

All 3 Bugs must have been in your possession to complete this cache. Visitors who have used other means to gain the final co-ordinates will have their logs deleted.
The numbers attached to travel bug cards must not be shared with other cachers, in any way, shape or form. They are the finders alone. Passing information will spoil the point of the cache.
Once you have a bug in your possession please move it along as quickly as possible.
Please log the bugs in the exact same way as usual so other players can know where they are.
The bugs must not leave this Island, they must remain in England, Scotland or Wales.
If you are logging a find for this cache please make no reference to locations.

To reveal the final resting place of this cache please complete the coords below by replacing letters with the appropriate numbers, good luck... Dan.

PROXIMITY ISSUE:

There is a question I'm often asked about this cache, and since the answer may be of interest, I thought I'd post the answer here.

There is a proximity issue between this cache and another one.

At the time the original owner set this cache there was no requirement to record the final locations for puzzles, and another cache was subsequently published less than 161metres/0.1 miles away.

The reviewers are aware of this issue, but since both caches were published in good faith they have both been given "grandfathers rights" to remain active despite their proximity. Hope this helps.
