The view up here is awesome! You can look down to the Skokomish
river, the High Steel Bridge, South Mountain (the site of another
look out tower) and Lake West from up here. There is a 360 degree
unobstructed view of the surrounding peaks and I think you could
see Seattle from here on a clear day.

Easy 4 mile round trip walk up a logging road with good views
the entire way. Elevation gain is about 800 feet, cache elevation
is 1,500 feet. I saw two deer up here and many tracks of deer,
rabbit and fox.
In the summer you could push a jogging stroller or ride a bike
up to the cache.
Container is an Ammo Can.
If you want a longer hike you can start out near the view point
on FS-23 N*47.20.320 W*123.17.531 and walk past Lake west and then
up to the lookout. 8 miles round trip if you chose this longer
option. 4 miles round trip if you start at the parking coords.
So you don't get confused on these logging roads here is a .GPX
track log
(right click to save) that will lead you to the summit. You can
transfer this your GPS using the free program Easy GPS. I made this file using the
free program GPS Trackmaker
Make sure your active log is empty because that is where this
will go when you upload it to your GPS. You can then save the
active log under any name you like.
