Geocache Description:

The best place to see the skyline is from the water, and the best way get on the water is a kayak!

Take a short paddle out into the bay from Sausalito and enjoy the view! Note how the piers and pilings line up with the Transamerica building, you can use that as a reference on the water.

It operates full time, but best results will be in daylight.

Play with this a bit ahead of your trip so you will have an idea of where to paddle for the best shot. Once there, contact an accomplice to capture the actual image. You will need to be recognizable, with your GPSr held high (you are PROUD to be a cacher!). Of course it is unlikely that you will be hard to find in the shot...

Instructions for the home team:

Go to: Link

As soon as your subject is in view, right click "save image as" and save the picture, be sure to save it someplace you can find it easily. You could also use a screen capture program, or alt-printscrn to capture the page (this will place it on the clipboard, and you can then paste it in Word or a paint program for editing).

Post the shot and log your find!

A little history: This cache was originally "A Nice View of the Docks" and used the excellent Nu-Spectra WebCam at Hunter's Point (it was great fun to control remotely online, and zoomed in closer than any other webcam). Sadly, the company moved and has not replaced the webcam at their new site.
So, the coords have been changed to preserve this webcam cache for your enjoyment. All previous finders are welcome to log this again!
