Greetings,

It has been a while since I first looked at this cache. I can't find any recent responses about maintaining this cache so for the time being it will be archived and removed from the active cache listings. We are no longer leaving caches stay disabled for extended periods of time.

Groundspeak and the geocaching community appreciate your contributions to geocaching and I hope to see this cache back in operation soon.

If you can get it back up and running in the next week or so contact me to get it re-listed. Otherwise plan to move it slightly and set up a new cache page.

[Green]Most problems can be solved with good communication so reply back to the reviewer and we will do everything possible within the guidelines to get your cache published. It is best to give me as much information as possible instead of saying nothing at all. This will speed up the process and we can get your cache published. [/green]

Geocache Description:

This is a nice easy cache at the Zoo. The cache should be fairly easy to find, but you will need to walk a bit to get to it, and usually there are TONS of muggles near the cache site.

Well, it's been some time since this cache was first published, and so a rewrite of the cache description is in order. What follows is most of the original description along with a few changes to keep the listing up to date and applicable. Enjoy hunting the cache!

When I announced that our next school field trip would be to the zoo, several of my students chimed in by saying “Now we can go GEOCACHING!” Coming from them that thought was a little surprising, but hey, they seemed sincere and there was a geocache already at the zoo, so I agreed to let them try to find that existing cache. As we prepared to go, someone suggested than the class should hide a couple of geocaches in honor of our trip. Now the field trip is over and we did just that--we hid two 35mm film cannisters along two of the newer attractions at the zoo. Alas, one of the caches--the one along the river's edge--eventually needed to be archived. This cache remains.

Now, there is NO funny business involved with this cache. The cache is a straight-forward “find the container, find the cache” type cache. The hint will be a B-I-G spoiler, so unless it is absolutely necessary, you might NOT want to look at it immediately. The container is hidden from view but very accessible to the massive amount of muggles visiting the zoo since the cache is hidden on well-worn path.

PLEASE NOTE (NAJOR Spoiler alert!): Due to the large amount of muggles present, and the growing hole at the bottom of the sign, I will tell you that the cache is simply hidden behind the sign. (Which sign? Use the hint...) There is NO need to spend extra time digging through the bushes to find the container, and if the cache is not behind the sign, then it is gone. Please let me know, and I'll try to get it replaced as soon as I can.

Take a look around you before trying to retrieve the container to make sure no one is looking at you, and possibly wait a minute or two IF they are looking your way. Please take care to hide the cache in such a way that it will not fall through the growing hole at the bottom of the sign. That might help make sure that the cache remains in place for a while longer. Other than that, have FUN and let’s go GEOCACHING!
