How Geocaching Works
Moving on from the parking lot in Part 1 you will hike up along the treeline, deeper into the prairie. Watch for wildlife. you may see pheasant, turkey, fox, coyote, eagle, deer, turkey vultures or many other types of animals. Watching the treeline you may see black raspberries, wild grapes, plums or even an apple tree.

The hike is maybe a half mile and flat. Depending on the season you may be doing some bushwhacking. There are footpaths in the Spring and Fall, but primarily overgrown in the summer and inaccessible in the winter. The weeds in the summer can be walked through fairly easily, but keep your eyes open for stinging nettle.
Part 3 will have you crossing back along the trees parallel to the road heading West then North, the next section is about a half mile as well.
