There is a story that goes with this letterbox / geocache. To
read the whole story, please see the
letterbox clues at letterboxing.org
If you don't feel like reading the story, you can take your
chances with the coordinates above and the picture below.
The cache is on NC Gamelands, so:
- Wear blaze orange during hunting season
- Consider purchasing a hunting license and Game Lands permit,
even if you are not a hunter. The money generated by licenses helps
contribute to the protection and management of over 2 million acres
of Game Lands in the state.
More information about hunting seasons and licenses can be found at
www.ncwildlife.org
Notes:
- It is a round-trip hike of about 5 miles on very level terrain
with a few small ditches. If you have a boat there might be an
easier way. I don't have a boat so i don't know for sure.
- Only 1 rock needs to be moved to find the cache. If you look at
the picture, it should be obvious which one. Please put it back
when you are done.
- This is a letterbox / geocache hybrid, so there is a stamp and
stamp pad in the box. Please do not take these. People who find
this as a letterbox will be expecting to find a stamp that they can
stamp in their logbook.
- There are magnets and keychains with the same logo as on the
front of the logbook (in fact, the image from the stamp). Please
take one as a memento if you would like. No need to exchange
anything for these.
- You can park beside the road at N 35 53.173 W 078

note:If you plan to look for the
Prior intrigue: Decimal Places cache, you will want to take
note of the symbols on the top of this cache container.
