Geocache Description:

In 1892, The Fostoria Alumni Public Library was opened to the public with a membership fee of $1.00 per year.

In 1900 a grant from the city of Fostoria was obtained so that the library became "free" to all citizens.

Money was donated by Mrs. Louisa McClean and a grant from Andrew Carnegie made it possible for The McClean Public Library to be built on its present site in 1913.

The generosity of Fostorian, Arthur Kaubisch made a large addition possible in 1968. Today you can visit the Kaubisch Memorial Public Library.  Stop into the library and see how much you would need to donate to get the name changed to your name. :)

I haven’t given you much to go one here but I think you are up for the challenge. There are several of these around (Parma Heights & Van Wert). What makes this one a little different is that I am not really giving any clues.

The hours are:

Monday - Thursday
9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Friday - Saturday
9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Sunday: Closed

UPDATE:  The goal of this cache was to stretch you and make you think a bit.  There are ways to find the cache without asking a librarian.  In fact, you can find the information you need before you leave home.  If you need too, you can still ask a staff member for help.  They can point you in the right direction.

2022 UPDATE - As of the Fall of 2021, my wife has left this library, some of the staff may know about the cache but newer ones will not. The cache will remain in service as long as we still have contacts working here.
