Geocache Description:


The P&G Butner series is dedicated to those cachers who prefer staying in the short grass during the summer months. All caches are very close to parking. The caches will either be unique containers, take you to points of interest in the area, or tell a bit about the history of Butner.

The Great Barn was build by highly skilled slave labor in 1860 to house the mules and horses for Stagville Plantation. This was the largest agricultural building in North Carolina prior to the civil war.
