The trail eventually comes out a non-maintained road, and this
cache is near a small kettle lake without a name, a place where you
may see ducks if you are lucky.
Hickory Hills is a beautiful area of terminal morraine, dotted by
kettle lakes, hills and valleys and mixed hardwood forest. Chippewa
County has built a wide cross country ski trail through the forest,
as well as smaller trails for mountain bikes and snow
shoeing.
