The cache is located at Verleye Park on Verleye Avenue, Elwood (off Route 25). The park doesn't have a parking lot; you'll need to park on Verleye Avenue or a side street.
As the first day of school gets closer and closer, I thought it might be fun to place a "Back to School" cache for cachers and their families to stock up on school supplies for the upcoming year.The cache is a regular Rubbermaid container and contains the following (I hope I didn't forget anything):- 3 packs of pencils- 2 packs of pens- Erasers, both pencil toppers and regular- Elmer's glue and glue sticks- Reinforcements- Whiteout- A pair of scissors- Pencil sharpeners- Crayons- And, of course, the logbookPlease only trade school supplies (take one/leave one, as usual), or if you wish, leave a small amount of money and I'll use that money to buy more items. In fact, I should have left an envelope in case someone wants to do that; maybe someone could bring one to the cache??Verleye Park is a beautiful park with swings, slides, a basketball court, picnic tables, etc and a large open area perfect for kite flying, frisbee throwing, and the like. Bring the kids, get some school supplies, and have fun!One last thing- the cache itself is in a heavily wooded area; I took three measurements of the cache location and got the best fix I could. I strongly advise looking at the hints to ensure you're in the right spot.Happy hunting, and enjoy the rest of your summer!!Matt
