To log this cache you must first find a cache which hasn't been found for at least a year!
Rules:
1. Your qualifying cache must have been last found at least one year ago
2. You must not own the qualifying cache (unless you adopted it prior to finding it)
3. You must not have found it previously
4. Your find must be dated AFTER the published date of this cache
5. Qualifying cache must be active (ie. not archived)
6. If you jointly resuscitate a qualifying cache with one or more other cachers then only one of the team qualifies for this cache. (Cacher = Caching account.) Alternatively, you can take the appropriate fractional credit each and continue resuscitating caches until you have one per team member.
7. Qualifying cache must not have been used to qualify for another 'Resuscitator' type of Challenge cache
8. Qualifying cache must be listed on geocaching.com (caches on other listing sites do not count)
9. You must quote the GC number of the qualifying cache find in your log and preferably provide a link.
Simple really!
So, get out there and resuscitate those dying caches! The longer you leave it the harder it will be. The cache itself (a regular camo'd clip lock box) would probably be difficulty 1.5 but the increased difficulty takes into account the additional work required beforehand. Keep your little cachers close by when retrieving the cache as the nearby A45 is a very busy road.
Nearby to the cache location is a recycling plant with an interesting green roof, which you may have noticed whilst driving along the A45.
The Alibone paper recycling plant (now Viridor) was being relocated from unsuitable premises in a residential area and the new site close to the A45 was offered with the proviso that it was designed with a green roof thus hiding the development from view from the nearby village of Earls Barton.
Being an industrial building the requirement was for a large span metal decked roof meaning that the greening element had to be lightweight. The decking troughs were spanned with sheets of plywood before a single layer of Axter’s mechanically fastened Force Trafic polyester reinforced polymer modified bitumen membrane was installed. The greening elements comprised a 35mm thick hydroponic mineral substrate and a pre-planted sedum mat. The saturated weight of the whole system is less than 45 kg/m2.
The green roof has been a great success and a talking point for anyone travelling along the adjacent A45. In addition Reconomy Alibone has won work from at least one major book publisher because of the building’s green credentials.
The Cache contains a few medical supplies (to stay with the cache unless you really need to use them) a load of tradeable items, Log book, Pencil & Pen, Stash card, a TB, and a ready made cache as an FTF prize!
