Geocache Description:

While on an afternoon trip to Burro Schmidt Tunnel, we stopped off to check out the old talc mines along Last Chance Canyon Road. We, of course, had to leave a cache to commemorate our visit.

The cache is not at--but IS very close to--the posted coordinates. There is no puzzle to solve, but you'll need to use your geo-senses to spot this one.

Most vehicles should be able to get to within a few hundred feet of the cache. From there it's a short, moderate walk to the cache site.

Once you get to the posted coordinates, you'll know where you need to go to find the cache. (Yes, THERE.) GPS reception is, needless to say, terrible at the cache location. You have several choices.

The cache is a 30-cal ammo can concealed (not surprisingly) under a pile of rocks. Due to the popularity of the location, PLEASE be sure to re-hide the cache as well as (or better than) you found it. Let's see how long we can make this cache last.

Standard desert caching rules apply. Watch out for snakes, scorpions, and other critters. And in this case, beware of falling rocks.

Good luck, and happy caching!
