Steep and possibly dangerous
Truck Hill is a 1+ black diamond climbing challenge in the middle of Hollister Hills. It is very steep, somewhat sandy, and has tippy buckets usually one-third and two-thirds of the way up... judging by where vehicles get stopped. They must back down ever so carefully, and avoid buckets that would force the vehicle to turn sideways and risk rollover. I have seen a video on TV of such with a built Blazer ( didn't find the YouTube though).
I have made it up once in the KJ, with a rear locker, and the AT tires (Revos) at probably 12 psi. Conditions must have been favorable, and I lucked out picking a good line.
This day, I drove down the upper Return Trail from near Cloe Jean Mine; it's quite steep too and has a black diamond on it.
As Nazgul noted for another nearby cache:
The cache is in the Upper Ranch section of Hollister Hills SVRA. An entrance fee ($5 at time of writing) is charged. You'll need a suitable vehicle, and please comply with the various park rules. The Upper Ranch is sometimes closed for special events, so calling ahead is a good idea.
