Geocache Description:

North Lake is located in a small wilderness area, so know your wilderness rules (usually posted at trailhead and in wilderness maps). The hike is fairly easy, but the cache is located off the trail in an old, hollowed tree (see picture). Altitude is 4085 ft.

North Lake is located in a small wilderness area north of Mount Hood. It's a nice spot to overnight at with a good book, friends, and a fishing pole (maybe a crawdad trap if you eat 'em). I highly recommend camping at one of the four or so campsites dotted around the lake, but it is at a higher elevation so watch the weather and what you pack. Small children are not recommended, pets are fine. Give yourself at least half a day for this trip, between driving and hiking. Good luck, and happy hiking! Oh, yea, in the cache I remember putting at least:

Sewing Kit
Fish necklace
Diablo for PC, in original box with all manuals
Diablo II for PC, in original box with all manuals
Outdoor lock with two keys
Geocaching.com bumper sticker (ordered from website)
Spare AA batteries for GPS and log
