Geocache Description:

This cache is on top of Eccentric peak. It is the county highpoint for Dagget and Uintah counties. This is the way I took to the trailhead. Five miles east of Roosevelt on US 40/191, turn north just east of a school onto CR 2752/5750 East. Go 20.7 miles on pavement, then turn left onto a dirt road signed for Chepeta Lake and Elkhorn Loop. Go another 14.3 miles, bear right at a Y-intersection toward sign for Chepeta Lake. Turn right at another junction in 3.6 miles. Cross a stream on a bridge at 6.9 miles and soon reach a large parking area at Chepeta Lake. From the trail head I took the trail to the lake and walked around the North side. I then went up a small scree field and through some bushes. After this I went straight toward the summit. It is pretty gradual and easy to get to. There are no trees much past the lake. You can follow the High in Utah route, I just thought my way looked easier and faster. It is a little over 3 miles one way. Once at the top (It is so flat up there it is hard to tell) there is a summit shelter and the benchmark. The cache is located on the backside of the shelter tucked under some rocks at ground level. The container is a very large unused prescription bottle.

THE CACHE IS NOT THE GLASS SUMMIT REGISTER! IT IS WELL HIDDEN ON THE BACK OF THE SHELTER
