This cache is near the top of the Topanga Ridge Trail, 1.5 miles from the bottom, and 1.3 miles from the intersection of Stunt Rd and Saddle Peak Rd at the top.
The Topanga Ridge Trail is a beautiful but rocky and often steep ridgeline trail that climbs through the amazing sandstone formations just east of Stunt Road in Calabasas. Although not very long, only strong hikers should attempt this trail!

To get to the trail, park on Stunt Road in Calabasas where Calabasas Peak Motorway meets it (N34° 5.712', W118° 38.957'). Hike up Calabasas Peak Motorway 0.6 miles to Red Rock Road. The trail heads uphill to the south-east from here. Or you can park at Red Rock Park (fee area) at the end of the pavement on Red Rock Road, roughly N34° 6.311', W118° 38.243', and hike the 1.1 miles to Calabasas Peak Mtwy. Or, from the top, park at the overlook at the intersection of Stunt Road and Saddle Peak Road, N34° 4.88', W118° 38.711', then hike north-east on the Topanga Ridge Motorway.

Waypoints for these parking spots are listed in "Bite the Bullet" (GC1M0JA) (visit link)

The cache, a camo'd plastic container, contains only a log, there's probably not room for trading items.

We were in a bit of a rush to get to the bottom before sundown, so we didn't look very long at all. Dicey area to search as well, so we gave up soon. It could very well still be there. Thanks anyway, had a fun scramble!

So sad. I didn't want any DNFs on this hike, so I looked longer than I normally would. Still came up empty. Had to move on, as I wanted to make it back to my car at Stunt Road before the sun went down.

Wow. This is quite a hike from the bottom at Stunt Rd. It gets hot up here. Critter is in good shape but the hint need to be revisited (although the coordinates are pretty close.) TFTC
