THE AIRBORNE EVENT Event Cache

 Come one Come ALL!!! This is going to be the BEST GEO EVENT Fayetteville has ever seen. Come and meet fellow Cachers and make some new friends. Come hungry, because we are going to feed you too! Whats Cookin? It looks like we are going to be having: Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Steaks, Pizza, Chile, Potato Salad, Chips and Salsa, Bottled Water, Sodas. Thats what we are having. If you would like to bring something as well, please feel free to do so. Thanks

The event will be held in Cumberland County's ARNETT PARK. Pets are allowed if they are on a leash. The park hours are 9:00am to 10:00pm. Check out the pics section for a view of the shelter.

The event kickoff will be at 0930 (or 9:30a.m.) at  posted co-ords. Coffee and donuts there for all the early birds. (Please post me a NOTE stating wheather or not you will be there at 0930 for Donuts) Just so I don't go out and buy 30 dozen and end up EATING THEM (myself) LOL After everyone signs in and registers for the drawing you can go forth and cache!

Me and my team will remain at the "Airborne Control Point" all day to assist any stragglers that wander by. After enjoying a great day of caching meet back at the Starting Point for some good grub. I will be fixing up Hamburgers and Hot Dogs!!!! There will be plenty for everyone. There will be a limited number of Ribeye Steaks on the grill. (While Supplies Last) I will also have SODAS and WATER for all who want them. The grill will be fired up at 11:00am and I won't stop cooking until all the food is gone!!!!

This will be a GREAT EVENT!!!! There are many caches in the area. There will be at least 45 new caches in the area that will be placed during the month of April and May.

 I think we are going to break the record!!! The record for TBs logged into any event was 72 in a flordia event last year. Keep those TBs coming!!!! Still looking for JEEP TBs ! We  hope to get at least 3 Jeep 4X4 TBs logged into this event. In reference to the TBs. Please take a look at all the wonderful TBs we have attending this Great Event. I will be raffling off a Brand New Garmin Rino 130 at the EVENT!!! The tickets will be sold for $1 each. You do not need to be present to win. If you are not going to make it to the event, you would like to purchase a ticket and a chance to win this GPSr please post a note and tell me how many tickets you would like to buy, I will then contact you and provide you the information as to where to send the money. The money must be received NLT Friday 20 May. I will then send you an e-mail with YOUR ticket numbers. This Garmin Retails for $380.00 All the proceeds from this raffle will be DONATED to the WARRIOR FUND. The Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF) provides college scholarship grants, based on need, along with financial aid and educational counseling to the children of Special Operations personnel who were killed in an operational mission or training accident.

There will be a "Where's George" Exchange at 2:30pm at the Airborne Control Point. Everyone bring their WGDs to swap!!!

Thanks to Lucy's Ranger we are going to hide some caches in the park that are for KIDS ONLY (12 and under). They will be kid friendly and the kids will have to do all the work to find them. - **UPDATE 17 MAY** - Cache containers will be raffled off during the Rhino GPS raffle at 1600. Tickets will be handed out for the containers when you pick up the coord sheets. End of new update I will hand out the paper info sheets to all the kids at 1300  Good Luck!!
There will be SIX kid caches for the children (under 12) to find. Six different shape and size caches!! All kids will be given coords for all six caches and we hope they find each and every one! Caches Open at 1300! Trade as you will. There will be the raffle to see who gets to take HOME the containers and whatever is left in them. On each paper that lists the coords there will be a number--that number is the child's raffle number. Do not lose that paper as it will be needed to prove who has won. Raffle is at 1600!

There will be MANY free gifts for all who come!!!! The door prizes will be given away starting at 3:00pm. I have a VERY Special Prize for the Cacher who logs the MOST TBs for  the EVENT.... The prize is valued at $150!!TB

There will be a BRAND NEW GARMIN GPS MAP 76S given to the FIRST cacher that locates My Family Coin (with NO hole in it) and brings it to me at the Event. (See picture of Family Coin) On the day of the event (or the night before) I will hide 2 of these coins in two of MY caches in the Airborne Series. The FIRST Cacher that finds one of the coins and brings it to me at the Airborne Control Point wins the GPSr. The Second Cacher that finds the other Coin and brings it to me wins Gift Card for use at Electronic Atlas Value $80.
