Geocache Description:

Another cache placed in Gibbs Lake Park.

Yet another in my on-going series of caches I will be placing that reference what I consider Essential Albums of My Life.

Howl Howl Gaff Gaff by the Swedish band Shout Out Louds was released in 2005 worldwide, but I saw SoL open for a unknown sell-out band that I loved that I will not mention back in 2003, and SoL blew them out of the water. Lead-singer Adam Olenius's vocal are very clearly sung with a Swedish-drawl, but it works for the band, it gives the album a sense of urgency that remind me of early Springsteen records [although the music is very much, NOT Springsteen]. SoL's rythym section is so driving I find myself, no matter where I am, moving with the music and moved by it. After a few listens the listener will begin to pick up that although the music is very driving, the lyrics are, heartbreaking. Songs like “Very Loud, ” “A Track and a Train"and “Shut Your Eyes” are much more subtle then the 5th track, “Go Sadness” but the theme is constant through the album.

Essential Tracks:

The Comeback
Very Loud
Oh, Sweetheart
A Track and a Train
Go Sadness
