This event is scheduled from 8:30 -12:00. *****PLEASE BE THERE AT 8:30 AS WE WILL BE BREAKING INTO TEAMS FOR THE SEVERAL LOCATIONS THAT NEED CITO. BE SURE TO BRING WATER AND GLOVES. TRASH BAGS WILL BE FURNISHED*****.
Park officials at Bear Creek Lake are hosting an Earth Day and our CITO group is an adjunct to that environmental effort.
The CITO Event is being hosted by C.A.C.H.E. and is being held in conjunction with the National CITO Day. Cachers all over the country will be helping to clean up their local environment.
Our group will be working at three of the city's reservoirs. We will meet at the coordinates above and divide into 3 work teams (one for each reservoir).
This event is being held in memory of Billzjeep. Many of us (including myself) didn't know Billzjeep. However, when you talk with some of the longtime cachers in Denver, you'll realize it’s only appropriate to hold this event in his memory. Just ask Jeeperz1&2 or The Grand High Pobah and they can give you more information on him.
NOTE: You may want to drop by the park later (no fee) to see what they have to offer. Of special interest is a new "Friends of the Park" initiative which will give you a chance to "give back to the community" on a recurring basis.
