If the lower part of the trail is blocked by an extension of a pond, you can go around the pond clockwise but you will have to jump across an isthmus. If you look to your right a few 10's of feet after the first hop you may want to try jumping another one to the right. Otherwise walk up toward the road then up the hill. Parking on the street in the area just east of the fisrt part of the multi will save having to jump across any water.
I worked on this multi-cache for months until I finally got time to finish it. The location is along a trail that I never knew existed until late during the summer of 2004. I’ve known of the area since I used to ride my bike here beginning in 1968 but never knew there was any sort of upland in this location. It’s a beautiful walk in the autumn when the leaves are colorful.
The hint for the first part of this multi-cache is found in this verse of Scripture. Joshua 24:26, And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God, and took a great stone, and set it up there under an oak, that was by the sanctuary of the LORD.
The location of the next two caches is self-explanatory once you begin with the first one. In part two you will required to read some Scripture then take a multiple choice test to determine the coordinates for the third and final container. Getting the answers right is critical to getting the right coordinate. The second part of this multi is a locked. It's at eye level.
A required key to unlock the second container is hidden in the first container. Please remember to return it! To retrieve the key, fish for it using the small magnet hanging on a string suspended from a small branch on a tree that's 4-6 inches in diameter 20 paces south of the first container. That tree is on the edge of a ravine. The magnet and string are painted brown. Look at head height.
The decimal minutes for the second container are engraved on a copper tool I use to return the key.
