Once again kiki_bianca was able to secure the
Carousel Building at Goddard State Park for the
Pig Roast (Thanks!) for 19 July 2008. The event will run from
11:00am until 4:00pm or until everyone gets tired and goes
home.
This is a Rain or Shine Event.
DONATIONS: Donations to offset the cost of the Pavilion
will be greatly appreciated. There will be a donation piggy bank at
the sign in table.
FEES: There are no fees to enter Goddard!
PARKING INFO: Please park at the beach parking lot (past
and below the carousel building). There is a limited number of
handicap spaces in a small driveway loop which comes off the main
road just before the building. Thanks for your cooperation!

to be run by Pig #3

* Picnic Lunch - I'll supply dogs,
burgers, watermelon and a birthday cake. Everyone brings their own
side dishes and drinks. There is a refrigerator in the Carousel
Building if you need to keep things cool.
* Swimming! There's a nice sandy
beach, so be sure to bring your suit!
NEW CACHES: I would like to have several new caches
placed in the park to coincide with the event. It would be fun to
have each cache placed by a different cacher, allowing everyone to
grab a few new smileys. Kiki_bianca informed me that she would be
willing to assist in maintaining them. There is plenty of "free"
space in the park, so please contact me via my profile if you are
interested in placing a cache. I have already placed four new "park
& grabs" (but typical they ain't) as well as a "special" cache.
They will be published either just before or during the event. I
will have printouts for all of the caches at the event.
GEO-BINGO: Meesh will be running this one. Grab a bingo
card when you sign in, and go around looking for geocachers who
meet the criteria on the card (such as "A Cacher with 100-300
finds"). Try to make as many BINGO's as possible - each BINGO gives
you a chance for a cool prize.
PHOTOSPOT: Shedew will be running this one. You will be
given several photos taken within the park (close to the event
site). Mark the position where you think the picture was taken
from...player with the smallest difference from the actual
locations wins!
