Dirty Harry liked 'em steep!!!! This will be a good workout, especially the last bit. You will go from about 1300 to over 4600 so at least 3300 elevation gain. The RT is probably close to 8-9 miles. Sources say hike is more like 11 miles RT, but I don't agree. It's shorter. The cache is a .30 cal ammo box stashed near a great viewpoint that I discovered back in 2000. The old roadbed is badly eroded. It'll be a stream in more than a few places. Wear good waterproof hiking boots and trekking poles might be nice to have. Don't forget to get the other cache up there.
