This is the western extension of Land Between the Lakes' Central Hardwoods Scenic (formerly Greenway) Trail between the Golden Pond Visitor Center and Fenton Campgrpund. This portion of the trail is compacted gravel which makes a smooth walking/biking path. Because the path also follows the contours of the terrain, its not as easy as the paved portion. But its not as hard as the other dirt trails throughout LBL. The western portion of the trail meanders through upland mixed hardwood forest for 4.0 mile. This cache may be replaced by a larger container (yet me know what you think). If you are game, you can take the North-South trail for an extended day-hike up to a multi-day backpacking trip.
Parking is available at the Golden Pond Visitor Center, English Hill, and at Fenton Campground.
