The Hogle
Picasso
In August of 1967, the famous artist Pablo Diego
José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios
Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Martyr Patricio Clito Ruíz y
Picasso (Pablo Picasso) completed a monumental sculpture in
downtown Chicago. Commonly referred to as the "Chicago
Picasso", the creation is 50 feet tall and weighs 162 tons.
The Chicago Picasso:
Unknown to many people (in fact, unknown to all),
Mr. Picasso made a quick trip to Salt Lake City just prior to
beginning work on the famous Chicago sculpture. His intent
was to do a "warm up" project. Thus was born the "Hogle
Picasso", named due to its proximity to the Zoo of the same
name.
This cache is dedicated to both sculptures and to
Pablo Picasso himself. Please don't attempt to retrieve the
cache if muggles are present in the nearby parking lot. The
cache is easily accessible in snowy conditions.
