Geocache Description:

The Header Coordinates are NOT the cache location. Solve the pictogram puzzle to determine where the hide is located.

Indiana Geones, famed finder of lost antiquities, has come across the clues leading to yet another fabulous ancient treasure.

Near the year 1050 the Nordic explorer Jorgen Haveasignalock made landfall in North America while fleeing from rival Viking clans. Jorgen had in his possession ‘The Horde of Odin’, a mass of uncut diamonds that his foes were seeking to plunder. Eluding the warriors on his trail, Jorgen placed his treasure in a stone coffer and hid it in this uncharted land. Haveasignalock then set sail back to the Northlands, taking the secret of the cache to his grave.

Centuries later, Indiana Geones braved the arctic tundra seeking clues to this lost treasure. Sub zero temperatures, herds of rabid walruses, and the usual assortment of evil archeologists could not dissuade him from his goal; Professor Geones eventually came across a stone tablet engraved with the Runes that would lead him to The Horde of Odin.

As fate would have it, however, Indiana was not able to seek out the treasure. Contractual obligations required him to report to Disney World in Orlando for a live-action stunt spectacular show, so he had to take a pass on obtaining the cache of diamonds. In any event, he was good enough to post an image of the runes that he discovered on this website so that other intrepid adventurers might have a chance to find:

Cache Notes:
Decode the above puzzle to determine the North and West Coordinates to the cache, along with parking info. The container was placed near 3:00PM with an accuracy reading of 10’ with WASS lock. There is limited storage space, so smaller trades are best. Despite outward appearances, the cache is fragile, so be gentle when retrieving and replacing it. It should be possible to open it without fully extracting it from the hide spot. Swag is best placed in Ziplock baggies – please bring extra along in case they are needed. Entry to the blue-blazed trailhead can be found by walking about 20' up a driveway that is near the parking area - use caution when crossing the street! The puzzle coordinates of North (A)° (B).(C) West (D)° (E).(F) can be confirmed in a checksum where A+B+C+D+E+F=693.
