This cache is best reached by boat across Lake George, then a 3/4 mile hike; although it could be reached entirely by hiking if you really want.
The best way is to rent a boat in Bolton Landing (if you don't have one already). Go to the Glen Island Ranger Station (N43 34.399 / W73 36.020) and get a (half-)day permit for Commission Point (N43 34.412 / W73 34.889); once there, hike north along the old carriage road. You'll know you're almost there when you reach the Glacial Pothole (N43 34.838 / W73 34.652). The cache is well hidden and can't be seen except when nearly on top of it, and only from one angle.
