Geocache Description:

This is Part 3 of 5 of the Bonus Mystery cache “Arrasquaugh”. Please refer to that cache before starting this for details on how to find the bonus cache. This series was originally set up for the 2007 C.I.T.O. day, so in the spirit of this, please try and keep the preserve clean by removing any trash you see if possible. Thank you!

Coming up from Part 2, cross Clark Avenue and enter the gate located on your right. Almost immediately you will see the remnants of a stone building. It was constructed as a tool shed around 1940 and housed forest fire fighting equipment for the preserve. The small wetland located near Part 3, (NW) was once part of Lake Tackapausha, a large pond that covered the southern half of this section. Before the use of electric refrigerators, ice was cut from the lake during winter months and stored in well-insulated icehouses for use in the summer. Continue up on the eastern side of the preserve to part 4.
