Geocache Description:

This is a another cache that can be hunted when doing my Meramec Highlands Quarry cache. See that page also for details and history of this area. I've been looking for this type location for 2 months and now I've found it.

This will make you think a bit. Please don't post any hints or spoilers in your logs or I will delete it. Please leave the area as you found it and replace anything that you may have moved.

This cache is located within the park boundaries and you do not need to trespass.
***NOTE***
Dogs are NOT allowed in this park.

Back in the 50's and 60's we would work on our cars during the day and go cruisin' at night. Those were the days when cars were easy to work on and if you dropped a wrench, you knew it would fall on the ground, not get stuck between the pipes and crossmembers.

This cache is dedicated to those of us who still like to tinker with our cars. All of the cache contents relate to tools needed to do minor repair work. You will need to do some thinking on this one but I hope you enjoy the hunt.

Origional cache contents consisted of (among other things):

  • Logbook and pencil
  • 2 Stubby Phillips screwdrivers
  • Set of Allen wrenches
  • 3/8" drive socket holder
  • Flexible claw pickup
  • Flexible magnetic pickup
  • Utility knife
  • 6-12 volt test light
  • 16" stainless straightedge/rule
  • SLAGA cards
Those are all gone now and have been replaced with misc other small items.
