Prskalo is probably the most unusual waterfall in Serbia, with a
narrow streak of water falling off a pointed towering formation
built by the sediments accumulated by the water flow. There's
nothing like it anywhere near, and it almost looks like something
man made.
It is situated about 20 metres above the unpaved road through
the Nekudovo valley some 17 km from turning off the pavement in the
little town of Resavica (there are signs pointing towards Resavica
valley and Valkaluci at the junction). About halfway there keep
right (straight forward), instead of turning left with the Resavica
river.
There is a sign saying "Prskalo" by the road, pointing right,
across the river. Raise your sight, and you'll see the waterfall.
Several metres further you'll see a trail crossing the river, and
right next to it an improvised bridge consisting of two logs for
pedestrians. So you can reach the Prskalo waterfall either on foot
or by off road vehicles (you can even drive regular passenger
vehicles right up to the river crossing by the waterfall).
The geocache is hidden in a hole on the left side of the rocky
formation of the waterfall, the biggest one you'll see while
standing right beside it. Just climb to it, reach with you hand
inside, and you'll find a cyllindrical box with the
www.freebiking.org sign on it, a notepad, a pen and some candies
inside. When you return the geocache, take care to put it on the
right side of the space behind the hole, so it doesn't accidentally
slip out of reach into the narrow tunnel on the left.
The nature around the waterfall is very picturesque, and it's a
fine camping spot, with a table and benches provided for the
purpose.
