MadMin: I attempted to contact the owner of Dedham Overlook* to find out about the status of this cache on October 4, 2007. I have received no response from the owner on the cache page or via email. Because of that I'm afraid I have to archive this cache.

I will be more than happy to review this cache again and (hopefully) reinstate it once you have corrected any issues with the cache. please contact me via ma.reviewer@gmail.com to do so.

Geocache Description:

In a very small Altoids Container. Be careful with small
children, and slippery rocks. Interesting location.

Upon a hill of rock and stone
A small house stands there all alone
On this wind swept hill it stood
Made of bricks and not of wood
Ten years ‘fore the Revolution
Built in true anticipation
Of the war that was to be
And its role in history.
For centuries this little shack
Protected Dedham from attack
It has a roof and sturdy door
But lacks a window and a floor.
An ancient stair leads to the site
I wouldn’t try to go at night.
From above the Charles is down
As it flows to Boston Towne
Across the bridge there lies the Key
And a place to rest for thee.
If you do you’ll plainly see
A bit of Dedham history.
A spot that most folks have forgot
But worth the walk up, like as not.
So take a hike, enjoy the view
Of river wide and skies of blue
Climb the stairs, watch for briars
Don't try this cache on any tires
Take some trash as you go down
Dump it somewhere else in town..
